Catalyst by Nature Link is a luxury lakeside wedding and event venue located on Clark Lake in Nisswa, MN. We are gearing up for a busy season ahead of us and are looking to build up our team of passionate, hard-working individuals to manage the venue on event days. This opportunity to work at MN’s newest luxury resort and event center, will be a great fit for someone who is hard-working, an excellent problem solver, loves people, enjoys being helpful, and has a passion for serving others.
The Venue Manager is someone who is responsible for ensuring a high level of service to all users of the building (staff, clients, guests, vendors, etc). The primary duty of this role is to oversee all operations of the facility and be Catalyst’s main contact on the day of the event. This includes the management of all staff, vendors, communication with clients and guests, the oversight of all procedures throughout the day, and quick resolution of any problems that may come up.
Job Type: Part Time, Contracted Work
Experience: 2 years in events industry (preferred)
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Complete opening/closing checklists on the day of the event
-Work closely with Catalyst’s Operations Manager and Director of Operations in all aspects related to the day of the event
-Work with the Leadership Team to oversee the management of the cleaning contract, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the building
-Introduce yourself to your client and let them know you are there to help with anything throughout the day
-Work with vendors and show them around their respective areas
-Notify The Leadership Team of any building maintenance issues
-Work with Client’s Day of Coordinator to answer any questions about the venue and property
-Work with Event Security to ensure safety of all guests and staff
-Welcome guests and direct them through the property/facility as needed
-Identify and quickly resolve any problems that may arise the day of while maintaining a stress free situation.
-Publicly represent Catalyst in a prepared and professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
-Hard working, can-do attitude
-Outgoing, positive spirit
-Desire to learn and grow in the event space industry with a focus on weddings
-Ability to work independently, solving problems as they arise with no supervision
-Weekend availability
-Ability to work 8-12+ hours on wedding days
-Kind hearted, happy person!
-2+ years in the event industry is preferred but not required
Working days: Mainly Friday/Saturday shifts.
Hours per week: Between 0-18+ (We require a minimum of 3 shifts per quarter to stay on staff.)
