Using an inkle loom and a deck of weaving cards (tablets), you’ll learn how to create strong, beautifully patterned straps, belts, and trim. Tablet weaving produces striking geometric designs, and this workshop guides you through each step at a comfortable pace. You will learn how to read tablet patterns, thread, and position the cards, manage tension and weave a sturdy decorative bank to take home. This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about historical weaving techniques, patterns or adding handmade details to bags, clothing, or other projects. A lunch of sloppy joes (non-spicy!), chips and snacks will be served or bring your own if you prefer. No prior weaving experience is needed, just your curiosity!
